A special night as Tenpin remembers the friends we lost

Posted: 07-Nov-2018 by Maccabi NSW

A special night at the inaugural combined Yetty Bennett & Greg Small Memorial Tenpin Tournament

Our two Tenpin Clubs - Maccabi Tenpin Superleague and Maccabi NSW Tenpin, came together and held a joint event to honour and remember dear friends Yetty Bennett & Greg Small, who we tragically lost in the Maccabiah Bridge tragedy in 1997.

It was a night of fun, catching up with old friends, and some enjoyable games of bowling. Both clubs worked very well together to make this happen.

Maccabi was very glad to have representatives from the Bennett & Small families; Mark, Ilona, Dean and Jordan Bennett, as well as Suzanne, Josh and Rebecca Small, and Adam Zines, and it was very special to have them there.

After the bowling, we all sat down and had a lovely meal together, it was truly special to catch up with old friends, share fond memories and remember those we lost.

This will now become an annual combined tournament in Memorial of Greg Small and Yetty Bennett, long into the future.

The support was fantastic, with Maccabi NSW as major sponsors and an audience of nearly 70 people, bowling, sharing a meal and having a great time.

Well done to all the Tenpin members across both clubs and especially to the event committee for organising so well.

Trophies were presented to the winners - the results were:

In the Yetty Bennett Tournament

Fiona Rothman 1st Place
Lilik Passman   2nd Place
Naomi Baram   3rd Place

In the Greg Small Tournament

Ari Baram  1st Place
Natai Hanouka 2nd Place
Marlon Aronowitz 3rd Place
